Are annotations permanently saved in the PDF?+
Yes! When you export the PDF, all annotations (text, drawings, highlights, images) are permanently embedded into the PDF file. The exported PDF can be opened in any PDF reader and all your annotations will be visible.
Is my PDF uploaded to your server?+
No, never. All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript and PDF libraries. Your PDF never leaves your device, ensuring complete privacy and security.
Can I edit existing text in the PDF?+
This tool focuses on adding annotations (text notes, drawings, highlights) on top of existing PDFs, not editing the original PDF content. You can add new text boxes anywhere on the page, but cannot modify the original text embedded in the PDF.
What annotation types are supported?+
Text annotations (add text boxes anywhere), Draw annotations (freehand drawing with customizable color and width), Highlight annotations (mark important text), Image annotations (insert images), and Page management (delete or reorder pages).
Can I delete or reorder pages?+
Yes! Use the Page Management tool to delete unwanted pages or drag pages to reorder them. Deleted pages are excluded from the exported PDF, and reordered pages maintain your new sequence.
Is there a PDF size limit?+
File size limits depend on your browser's memory. PDFs up to 50MB typically work well. Very large PDFs (100MB+) may take longer to process or may not work on devices with limited RAM.
Can I undo changes?+
You can delete individual annotations by selecting them and pressing Delete or clicking the delete button. For page deletions, there's a restore option. However, there's no global undo button, so work carefully.
